KFUG Community News

KFUG Community Radio has partnered with the Wild Rivers Outpost to bring our listeners KFUG Community News!

Thanks to funding from the California Endowment, KFUG Community Radio employs several local youth interested in learning how to “journalism.”  Working alongside the Wild Rivers Outpost’s Crescent City Bureau Chief Jessica Cejnar, our youth reporters get hands-on experience interviewing, editing, and producing timely, insightful news stories for our community.  The news team produces and broadcasts our semi-monthly newscast, News NOW!, every other Wednesday at 5pm.  (If you miss the live broadcast, we post the latest newscasts right here on this page.)  Our youth reporters also manage and produce content for Redwood Voice, a local youth media program that allows our reporters to engage their community through videos and articles highlighting the power of youth voices in community media.  For the latest in timely local news, be sure to check out the Wild Rivers Outpost.
